British Sikh Council has been working for 12 years to bring Sikhs back into mainstream who are living in poverty. Nearly 80% of Sikhs are ignored and not being counted in Sikhs calculations! British Sikh Council help those who need food,  clean water, education, housing, reducing the usage of drugs and alcohol and setting health and eye camps. The British Sikh Council work in a community called the Sikligar Vanjara Sikhs, the forgotten Sikhs. Their aim is to spread the message of “a secular state where all are equal irrespective of cast, creed, colour and country.”
